Abstract
Helicobacter pylori has now been recognized as one of the most common chronic human infections. It has been accepted as an important aetiologic agent in non-immune chronic gastritis and plays a key role in the aetiology of duodenal ulcer. It may also be involved in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer. Keywords
