Abstract
A case of generalized folding of the skin in a white female child is described. The abnormality is associated with a diffuse underlying lipomatous nevus and with a left-sided hemihypertrophy. A severe, but probably coincidental, Rh incompatability is present in the family and the patient had two replacement transfusions shortly after delivery by cesarean section. Three years later the mother was delivered of a stillborn fetus whose skin was macerated but showed no folding. Keywords
