Abstract
Using group-theoretical methods, the relaxation modes and relaxation times in respect of both electrical and mechanical types have been obtained for the case of a divalent interstitial impurity in alkali halide lattices. These cases involve the simultaneous occurrence of two vacancies in the nearest-neighbour sites. Keywords
