Abstract
The general expression for the dyadic Green's function in a radially inhomogeneous dielectric medium is obtained. It is then applied to the problem of radiation from an electric dipole in such a medium. Possible applications to electromagnetic scattering problems and to elementary particle scattering problems are noted. Keywords
