Abstract
Ectomycorrhizae of D. octopetala (Rosaceae) were synthesized with 2 alpine species of Hebeloma and observed by transmission electron microscopy. The mycorrhizae were harvested at the time of fruiting of the associated fungi. The ultrastructure of the mycelial sheath, Hartig net, host cortical cells and host-mycobiont interface was defined from very active, functional, living structures. An interpretation of hyphal morphogenesis in the sheath and the Hartig net is proposed. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
