Abstract
This study was conducted to elucidate the inheritance and linkage relationships of variation In phosphoglucomutase (PGM), phosphoglucoisomerase (PGI), leucine aminopeptidase (LAP), alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH), acid phosphatase (APS) and glutamateoxaloacetate transarninase (GOT) banding patterns in Brassica oleracea. Segregating populations were generated by selfing or testcrosslng putatively heterozygous plants. The existence of six loci was demonstrated unequivocally (Adh-2, Aps- 1L, Pgm-1, Pgm-2, Lap-1, and Aps-1), and no tight linkages were identified. The existence of two additional loci, Pgi-2 and Got-3, was strongly implied by comparisons of corresponding sporophyte-game-tophyte phenotypes. Two regions of variable activity (ADH-1 and APS-3L) were tentatively concluded to be intergenic heterodimers.
