Abstract
A spectrophotometric assay of bovine ribo-nuclease has been developed based on the change in UV-absorption spectrum resulting from the hydrolysis of cytidine 2[image],3[image]-phosphate. The relevant optical and kinetic details have been carefully investigated and satisfactory conditions for the assay have been delineated. Simple modifications which allow rapid assays of somewhat lower precision are also described. Keywords
