Abstract
The resistance of medicine to accept psychosomatic approach as a special discipline has considerably diminished in the last 20 years. The difficulties to integrate it into the institutional branches of somatic medicine remain unchanged. The reasons for this contradictory attitude and its consequences for psychosomatic medicine are analyzed in respect to personal experiences of the author. Keywords
