Abstract
Black and white panchromatic and colour infrared aerial film were used to detect areas of diseased forest in the Brisbane Ranges, Vic., Australia. Two extensive areas of damaged forest were detected. Subsequent ground surveys revealed that the first was a seasonal defoliation due to insect attack, while the second was characterized by death of both the eucalypt overstorey and the shrubby understorey caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi. Keywords
