Abstract
A study of the two-spot skin friction meter covering effects such as misalignment, skin friction variation and three-dimensionality of flow, is described. Conditions in which the oil flows under both gravity and skin friction forces are covered. This has practical applications, particularly in measurement of very low skin friction values. It also permits a study of the effects of pressure gradients which confirms that the method is applicable in high adverse gradients. Keywords
