E.P.R. study of dimeric forms of Cu(II)-monoazaporphyrin and of the radical cations of Cu(II) octaethylporphyrin and -octaethylchlorin

Abstract
It has been shown in the present work that one can obtain dimers from the 1-electron oxidation product of Cu-porphyrin and Cu-chlorin. The E.P.R. study of these dimers has yielded valuable structural information in terms of the symmetry of the dimer as well as the distance between the two porphyrin planes. A qualitative estimate of the different exchange interactions present in the systems has been attempted.
