Abstract
A compact oil‐immersed apparatus is here described where cathode rays from a cathode‐ray tube strike the substance to be analyzed and excite characteristic x‐rays. The measurement of these allows a quantitative chemical analysis of the substance to be made. The apparatus is a simplification of apparatus already in use in this Laboratory. Data are given showing the accuracy and sensitivity of the analysis method. Keywords
