Abstract
A chromous chloride reaction followed by GLC analysis is described for the simultaneous confirmation of heptachlor and endrin residues. This procedure constitutes a convenient method for the routine confirmation of heptachlor and endrin residues as low as 0.01 and 0.04 ppm, respectively, in 10 g sample extracts. An alternative method for the confirmation of heptachlor, using zinc and acetic acid, is also described.
