Vitamin D and Calcium Absorption in Parathyroidectomized Rats

Abstract
The absorption of calcium has been studied in parathyroidectomized rats. The destruction of the parathyroid glands did not affect the absorption of Ca. The absence of the parathyroid hormone did not impair the response of the Ca absorption to the administration of vitamin D.Keywords
