Abstract
The momentum transfer cross section for H+ -H collisions at approximately 5 eV has been measured by observing the velocity and attenuation of compressional Alfven waves propagating in a partially ionized hydrogen plasma. The value obtained for the cross section is 6.0+2.0-1.5*10-15 cm2.Keywords
