Abstract
Inaccuracies in the experimental data which might give rise to the discrepancy in the dispersion relations for the forward scattering of negative pions (up to a few hundred Mev) are examined. The discrepancy cannot be removed without contradicting one of the several apparently accurate experimental results. A relation to check charge independence is suggested. Keywords
