Abstract
This paper discusses the behaviour of the trajectories of a system of differential equations with respect to two arbitrary sets and on a finite interval of time. The theory is an extension of known work on finite-time stability using Liapunov techniques but allows controllability to be included as a special type of stability. A number of examples illustrate the application of the theorems. Keywords
