Abstract
A fungus which has no definite ascocarp but with asci scattered in the hymenium of Odontia sudans from Austria is descr. as Myriogonium odontiae n. gen. and n. sp. The asci are formed in small clusters by means of croziers and their development is preceded by hyphal fusion. There is no satisfactory place in the present classification for this genus. The single sp. known is regarded as a specialized and morph. reduced form derived from more elaborately organized fungi rather than a member of the Hemiascomycetes.
