Abstract
The thermal conductivity of the quadrupolar gases, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, acetylene and carbon disulphide has been measured over the temperature range 0–200°C by the hot-wire method. The results indicate that the theory of Mason and Monchick can explain satisfactorily the thermal conductivity of quadrupolar gases. Keywords
