Abstract
Ten patients, with acute unilateral vestibular neuritis and destruction nystagmus, were placed in such a position that the utricle of the sound ear was at one time stimulated to increased activity by the g-forces, another time inhibited. In the former case, an increased nystagmus frequency was obtained; and in the latter case, an inhibition was induced which was sometimes total. Its causes are explained. Keywords
