Abstract
A 33-year-old naval pilot was admitted to Yale–New Haven Hospital in early 1992 because he had been coughing up blood and passing bloody urine for two days. He gave a history of Goodpasture's syndrome manifested by hemoptysis and hematuria, which had initially been diagnosed and treated in March 1990 at the naval base where he was stationed. The diagnosis was established serologically and by renal biopsy, and he was treated with plasmapheresis, cyclophosphamide, and steroids, resulting in remission of the condition until July 1991. He had a relapse at that time and was successfully treated with the same regimen. The . . .Keywords
