Abstract
Mycoplasma were present in 12 patients with recurrent adenotonsilitis (54. 5%) of the patient sample 22. Cultures from the external tonsil, external adenoid, minced tonsil and minced adenoid, were taken. When Mycoplasma were present, they were cultured most consistently from the external surface of the adenoids. Hemophilus influenzae was the bacterial pathogen most commonly present, as determined by routine throat culture techniques. M. pneumoniae was never present. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
