Abstract
In the analysis of distribution lightning problems, many factors must be considered, and long-time experience is necessary to permit reliable conclusions. Philadelphia Electric Company studies indicate that service interruptions due to primary distribution system trouble are in a large part due to lightning. Primary system trouble is found to cause far more customer interruptions than secondary system trouble. Keywords
