Abstract
The results of a study made of the etiology of diarrhea cases in an area of the Republic of Costa Rica, Central America, are reported. Bacterial agents seemed responsible for only a small proportion of the cases. A variety of intestinal parasites [Protozoa, Nematodes, and cestodes], though prevalent, did not appear to have any etiological significance in respect to the diarrheas observed. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
