Abstract
A rotating glassy carbon electrode has been used for the anodic stripping determination of mercury in perchloric acid and sodium thiocyanate electrolytes. When an appropriate amount of cations such as cadmium or copper is added to the test solution, mercury can be determined in acidified thiocyanate electrolytes down to 2 × 10–9 M(0.4 ng ml–1 or p.p.b.) with a standard deviation of about 22%.Keywords
