Abstract
A description is given of the isolation, development, and morphology of Amorphotheca resinae gen. nov., sp. nov., the perfect state of the "kerosene fungus", Cladosporium resinae. The Amorphothecaceae fam, nov. is proposed to accommodate this genus, and its affinities within the order Eurotiales are discussed. The validity of the name Cladosporium resinae, which is retained, is considered as well as the significance of the ascal state and variation within the species.
