Abstract
The non-specific phytohemagglutinins from the tribe of Viciae give homologous and heterologous reactions in agar gel with specific antisera. Phytohemagglutins from A. precatorius do not react with this antisera. The ability of these phytohemagglutins to bind with some glycoproteins of human and rabbit sera is another distinctive character from those exhibited by Lathyrus, Lens, Pisum and Vicia. These findings agree with the placement of A. precatorius in the tribe Abrae by Hutchinson.
