Abstract
Classroom action research can be valuable as a form of staff development at the in‐service and pre‐service levels. This paper gives an overview of classroom action research and describes a classroom teacher's efforts to promote more cooperation among the children in her classroom through her participation in action research. She also describes the partnership of reflection and support that develops when action research projects are undertaken by the student teachers in her classroom. This paper provides a concrete example of how action research can be used to enhance the day to day work of teaching and student teaching. Keywords
