Abstract
This paper describes an in-core reactor startup system employing fission counters and fission chambers to cover the range of in-core neutron flux of 105 - 5 × 1012 nv in a gamma field of 2.5 × 107 R/h at 550°F. The system can also be used with out-of-vessel fission counter-chambers where the range of 100 - 1010 nv has been covered. Keywords
