Abstract
Wireless video communication is particularly challenging because it combines the already-difficultproblem of efficient compression with the additional and usually contradictory need to make the compressedbitstream robust to channel errors. We describe design and implementation strategies for errorrobustvideo communications with an emphasis on techniques compatible with the coding approachesused in the ISO (MPEG-4) and ITU standards organizations. These techniques include modifications...Keywords
