HIGH RESOLUTION LASER SPECTROSCOPY OF THE PREDISSOCIATED b4Σg- STATE OF O+2 IN A FAST ION BEAM

Abstract
The fast ion beam laser spectroscopy technique (FIBLAS) has recently been applied to the study of the structure of various molecular ions using low energy ion sources. We present here a first exemple of the application of medium energy beams (between 10 and 350 KeV) to the same problem. In the particular case of the predissociation of the b4Σg- state of O+2, FIBLAS at intermediate energy enables us to extend the results obtained simultaneously by several groups represented at the Conference
