Abstract
IntroductionOver 80 million American men and women spend one quarter of their lives in a workplace outside the home. The deterioration in health quality that results from exposure to hazards in their workplace is not widely known. The annual toll of job-related injuries is estimated at 2.2 million, and these injuries result in 14,000 deaths.1 The National Health Survey has estimated that the average worker experiences six days of absence and more than 16 days of restricted activity because of some type of job-related disability per year and that one out of eight workers will receive a job-related injury . . .Keywords
