Finite well-thickness effects on nonlinear optical response of quantum well structures

Abstract
The nonlinear optical response of quantum well structures is usually evaluated using a strictly two-dimensional model. In this Letter we present an improvement which allows consideration of the finite width and height of the potential well; a comparison between the two models is discussed and significant differences are pointed out.
