Lower bounds on the constituent-quark mass differences

Abstract
Using a potential-model approximation to quantum chromodynamics and the masses of ground-state mesons and baryons as input, we obtain lower bounds on the constituent-quark mass differences. We find MeV, MeV, MeV, and MeV, where is the average mass of the and quarks.
