Abstract
In summary, the anatomic relationships and predicted displacements of portions of the colon have been described. Exception has been taken to the identification roentgenographically of the so-called splenic flexure. On the basis of the anatomic relationships, an explanation of the usual displacement patterns of the colon by extracolic masses has been given.
