Traumatic Anterior Dislocation of the Hip with Acute Common Femoral Occlusion in a Child

Abstract
A case of anterior dislocation of the hip complicated by occlusion of the right common femoral artery, acute renal tubular nephrosis, and acute renal failure in an 11-year-old boy is reported. Severe trauma and the renal complications led to the death of the boy. Anterior dislocation of the hip in children is a serious and sometimes life-threatening condition that can bring about fatal complications. The dislocation should be treated promptly and by closed methods if possible. If there is suspicion of vascular occlusion, exploration of the artery should be done. The patient should be carefully observed for renal failure; if this occurs, prompt corrective measures should be established.
