Abstract
In distal fracture of the radius or distorsion of the wrist, the radio-ulnar joint is often injured, this is manifested as persistent pain on movement, impaired mobility, and weakness in the wrist. Resection of the head of the ulna is a simple operation, which, as a rule, improves the function of the wrist. Out of 21 wrist joints that were followed up, 9 became symptom-free, 9 were substantially improved, whereas 3 showed no improvement. All the patients who were gainfully employed were able to resume their former occupation. Keywords
