Abstract
An arrangement is described by which a laser-Doppler anemometer (LDA) can be used to measure velocity profiles quickly and inexpensively. Two mirrors are rotated simultaneously to achieve the traverse; all remaining equipment is held stationary. When the LDA and mirrors are properly arranged, the receiving optics remain focused on the scattering volume during a traverse. Keywords
