Abstract
Generalized wave propagation takes place through a homogeneous slab governed by a differential equation of arbitrary even order, the elementary physical case being given when this order is two. Approximation procedures are investigated whereby the transmission coefficient is calculated for highly overdense slabs, in such a way that a correction term can be specified for the unit value of the modulus of the reflection coefficient.Keywords
