Abstract
Central field orbitals of several kinds have been employed for the calculation of transition moments and energies for states of the positive titanium ion. Lifetimes have been determined for the different multiplets of the configuration 3d24p. Limited configuration interaction is included in order to describe the multiplet structure of this and lower lying, even parity, configurations. The results show a fair correlation with the experimental results. Keywords
