Abstract
For ten years the author has been deeply involved in teaching, practicing medicine and studying the health needs in Indochina. In March 1973, as a member of the first U.S. Senate Committee to visit and study health conditions in North Vietnam, he had the opportunity to visit the Traditional and Popular Medical Institute in Hanoi. This report documents the redevelopment of traditional medicine in the D.R.V. and its successful integration with Western medical practice. Keywords
