Abstract
Critical phenomena on liquid helium are discussed on the basis of the phenomenological theory of Usui and Yamauchi, considering the order-parameter fluctuations. The thermal conductivity has the critical exponent 1/3 and its absolute value is as small as tenth of the experimental data. On the sound attenuation, the short time behavior is shown to be important and a tentative equation is proposed, which gives the critical exponent 1/2 in the hydrodynamical region above the λ-point and 0 in the critical region, in accordance with the experiment by Heinicke et al.
