Abstract
The phenomenon of "popcorn noise" is discussed and shown to exist in integrated wideband amplifiers when an input transistor of the amplifier exhibits a negative resistance region in the reverse-biased collector-base characteristic. A correlation is drawn between "popcorn noise" and "microplasma noise."Keywords
