Abstract
During the past ten years studies on Finland's national income since 1860's, also called “Studies on Finland's Economic Growth”, have been carried out. However, an estimate of the development of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the period prior to the First World War—not to mention of other items of the balance of aggregate demand and supply—has not yet been published. Nevertheless, there has been an increasing interest in tracing the development of total production of Finland since the middle of the 19th century, when a time it is generally agreed industrialization gradually began. Present research work in this field has already advanced so far that it is now possible to present some calculations and figures of the GDP from 1860 to 1913.Keywords
