Abstract
This research suggests that the pharmacists in Rhode Island were ready for implementing OBRA-90. They were prepared to counsel patients as well as practice Drug Utilization Review. However all participants felt that the number of prescriptions filled daily by them will be reduced sharply if they added counseling to their schedule. They felt that the management will have to recruit more pharmacists to increase efficiency and speed. Proposed legal reforms would help this act to be more effective in future. Keywords
