Abstract
It is proposed to use (1, Wp), with Wp the pth root of unity and p prime, as a basis for the complex plane, rather than the usual (1, i), for evaluating a p-point DFT. This representation is shown to reduce the number of multiplications required compared to a scheme proposed by Curtis.Keywords
