Tumor-Specific Antigens: Detection by Local Transfer of Delayed Skin Hypersensitivity

Abstract
Tumor-specific antigens of hepatomas induced in inbred guinea pigs by diethylnitrosamine were detected by the method of local passive transfer of delayed skin sensitivity. Results obtained by this method usually agreed with results of tumor growth suppression tests. Evidence is presented that different in vitro and in vivo methods may detect different tumor-specific antigens.
