Abstract
Autogenous saphenous vein graft wrapping of the tibial nerve has been described as an effective treatment option for failed tarsal tunnel decompression. Various theories have been proposed to explain how this method works, with little histologic evidence to date. A pathologic investigation of a sectioned nerve that had been previously wrapped provides some insight into these proposals. Keywords
