Abstract
Polyribosomes have been isolated from the cytoplasm of HeLa cells infected with poliovirus, a small, RNA-containing virus, and vaccinia virus, a large DNA-containing virus. In both cases, the polyribosomes have been shown to be the site of synthesis of immunologically identifiable virus protein. Keywords
