Abstract
Optical spectra in the 1.5 to 3.2 eV range are studied in the layered compound WSe2 by wavelength and temperature-modulated reflectivity, as well as by modulated photovoltaic effect from 4.1 to 300 K. The selection rules for optical transitions in WSe2 are deduced, and the spectra are interpreted with the help of the known band structure of the isomorphous compound MoS2.The parameters of the A exciton series are determined, and the temperature shift of the main spectral structures is studied.Keywords
